Prayer Times in West Palm Beach, Florida

Prayer times in West Palm Beach are worked out each day from the city's coordinates (26.72°N). We use the ISNA method, the one followed across Florida. The five times shift by a minute or two each day as the sun moves. The full month is listed below.

West Palm Beach's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Florida and across the United States. They are drawn from West Palm Beach's own coordinates (26.7153°N, 80.0534°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How West Palm Beach's prayer times are worked out

From West Palm Beach, the Qibla is 56° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 11,618 km (7,219 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from West Palm Beach's own coordinates (26.72°N, 80.05°W), not a national average. That is why West Palm Beach's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the West Palm Beach timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. West Palm Beach lies well west inside its New York time zone. So the sun peaks about 89 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 1:07 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 15h 04m near June down to 11h 36m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for West Palm Beach come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando. Each is only a few minutes off West Palm Beach's clock.
