Prayer Times in University Heights, Canada

University Heights's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from University Heights's own coordinates (52.1443°N, 106.5787°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How University Heights's prayer times are worked out

From University Heights, the Qibla is 32° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 11,209 km (6,965 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from University Heights's own coordinates (52.14°N, 106.58°W), not a national average. That is why University Heights's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the University Heights timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. University Heights lies well west inside its Regina time zone. So the sun peaks about 75 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:51 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 48m near June down to 9h 29m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for University Heights come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Lakewood, Saskatoon and Nutana Sector. Each is only a few minutes off University Heights's clock.
