Nutana Sector's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from Nutana Sector's own coordinates (52.1000°N, 106.6371°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Nutana Sector's prayer times are worked out

From Nutana Sector, the Qibla is 32° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 11,215 km (6,969 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Nutana Sector's own coordinates (52.10°N, 106.64°W), not a national average. That is why Nutana Sector's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Nutana Sector timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Nutana Sector lies well west inside its Regina time zone. So the sun peaks about 75 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:52 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 47m near June down to 9h 30m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Nutana Sector come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Lakewood, Saskatoon and Confederation. Each is only a few minutes off Nutana Sector's clock.
