Trois-Rivières Prayer Times

Prayer Times in Trois-Rivières, Canada

Prayer times in Trois-Rivières are worked out each day from the city's coordinates (46.35°N). We use the ISNA method, the one followed across Canada. The five times shift by a minute or two each day as the sun moves. The full month is listed below.

Trois-Rivières's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from Trois-Rivières's own coordinates (46.3451°N, 72.5477°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Trois-Rivières's prayer times are worked out

From Trois-Rivières, the Qibla is 59° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 9,882 km (6,141 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Trois-Rivières's own coordinates (46.35°N, 72.55°W), not a national average. That is why Trois-Rivières's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Trois-Rivières timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Trois-Rivières lies well west inside its Toronto time zone. So the sun peaks about 59 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:35 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 53m near June down to 10h 07m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Trois-Rivières come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Drummondville, Saint-Hyacinthe and Repentigny. Each is only a few minutes off Trois-Rivières's clock.
