La Haute-Saint-Charles's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from La Haute-Saint-Charles's own coordinates (46.8903°N, 71.3722°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How La Haute-Saint-Charles's prayer times are worked out

From La Haute-Saint-Charles, the Qibla is 60° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 9,774 km (6,073 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from La Haute-Saint-Charles's own coordinates (46.89°N, 71.37°W), not a national average. That is why La Haute-Saint-Charles's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the La Haute-Saint-Charles timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. La Haute-Saint-Charles lies well west inside its Toronto time zone. So the sun peaks about 54 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:31 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 18h 01m near June down to 10h 04m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for La Haute-Saint-Charles come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Charlesbourg, Les Rivières and La Cité-Limoilou. Each is only a few minutes off La Haute-Saint-Charles's clock.
