Prayer Times in Rābigh, Saudi Arabia

Prayer times in Rābigh are worked out each day from the city's coordinates (22.80°N). We use the Umm al-Qura method, the one followed across Saudi Arabia. The five times shift by a minute or two each day as the sun moves. The full month is listed below.

Rābigh's times use the Umm al-Qura method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Saudi Arabia. They are drawn from Rābigh's own coordinates (22.7986°N, 39.0349°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Rābigh's prayer times are worked out

From Rābigh, the Qibla is 152° from true north. Face southeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 173 km (108 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Rābigh's own coordinates (22.80°N, 39.03°E), not a national average. That is why Rābigh's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Rābigh timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Rābigh lies well west inside its Riyadh time zone. So the sun peaks about 31 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:08 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 15h 02m near June down to 12h 07m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Rābigh come from Umm al-Qura University, Makkah. The Umm al-Qura method sets Fajr when the sun is 18.5° below the horizon, and Isha 90 minutes after Maghrib. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Jeddah, Yanbu and Mecca. Each is only a few minutes off Rābigh's clock.
