Le Vieux-Longueuil's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from Le Vieux-Longueuil's own coordinates (45.5372°N, 73.5077°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Le Vieux-Longueuil's prayer times are worked out

From Le Vieux-Longueuil, the Qibla is 59° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 9,992 km (6,209 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Le Vieux-Longueuil's own coordinates (45.54°N, 73.51°W), not a national average. That is why Le Vieux-Longueuil's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Le Vieux-Longueuil timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Le Vieux-Longueuil lies well west inside its Toronto time zone. So the sun peaks about 62 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:39 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 42m near June down to 10h 12m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Le Vieux-Longueuil come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Longueuil, Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and Le Plateau-Mont-Royal. Each is only a few minutes off Le Vieux-Longueuil's clock.
