Al Līth's times use the Umm al-Qura method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Saudi Arabia. They are drawn from Al Līth's own coordinates (20.1480°N, 40.2722°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Al Līth's prayer times are worked out

From Al Līth, the Qibla is 342° from true north. Face north to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 149 km (93 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Al Līth's own coordinates (20.15°N, 40.27°E), not a national average. That is why Al Līth's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Al Līth timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Al Līth lies well west inside its Riyadh time zone. So the sun peaks about 26 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:03 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 14h 48m near June down to 12h 16m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Al Līth come from Umm al-Qura University, Makkah. The Umm al-Qura method sets Fajr when the sun is 18.5° below the horizon, and Isha 90 minutes after Maghrib. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Ash Shafā, Ta’if and Al Bahah. Each is only a few minutes off Al Līth's clock.
