Trenton's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in New Jersey and across the United States. They are drawn from Trenton's own coordinates (40.2171°N, 74.7429°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Trenton's prayer times are worked out

From Trenton, the Qibla is 58° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 10,388 km (6,455 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Trenton's own coordinates (40.22°N, 74.74°W), not a national average. That is why Trenton's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Trenton timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Trenton lies well west inside its New York time zone. So the sun peaks about 67 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:44 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 41m near June down to 10h 40m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Trenton come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Camden, Philadelphia and Staten Island. Each is only a few minutes off Trenton's clock.
