Prayer Times in Fremont, California

Fremont's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in California and across the United States. They are drawn from Fremont's own coordinates (37.5485°N, 121.9886°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Fremont's prayer times are worked out

From Fremont, the Qibla is 19° from true north. Face north to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 13,187 km (8,194 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Fremont's own coordinates (37.55°N, 121.99°W), not a national average. That is why Fremont's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Fremont timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Fremont lies well west inside its Los Angeles time zone. So the sun peaks about 76 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:53 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 17m near June down to 10h 52m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Fremont come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby San Jose, San Francisco and Stockton. Each is only a few minutes off Fremont's clock.
