Bridgeview's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Illinois and across the United States. They are drawn from Bridgeview's own coordinates (41.7395°N, 87.8050°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Bridgeview's prayer times are worked out

From Bridgeview, the Qibla is 49° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 11,167 km (6,939 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Bridgeview's own coordinates (41.74°N, 87.81°W), not a national average. That is why Bridgeview's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Bridgeview timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Bridgeview lies well west inside its Chicago time zone. So the sun peaks about 60 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:36 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 56m near June down to 10h 33m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Bridgeview come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison. Each is only a few minutes off Bridgeview's clock.
