Prayer Times in Aylmer, Canada

Prayer times in Aylmer are worked out each day from the city's coordinates (45.40°N). We use the ISNA method, the one followed across Canada. The five times shift by a minute or two each day as the sun moves. The full month is listed below.

Aylmer's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from Aylmer's own coordinates (45.4002°N, 75.8064°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Aylmer's prayer times are worked out

From Aylmer, the Qibla is 57° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 10,152 km (6,308 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Aylmer's own coordinates (45.40°N, 75.81°W), not a national average. That is why Aylmer's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Aylmer timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Aylmer lies well west inside its Toronto time zone. So the sun peaks about 72 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:48 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 39m near June down to 10h 13m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Aylmer come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Hull, Ottawa and Ottawa South. Each is only a few minutes off Aylmer's clock.
