Wukari's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Nigeria. They are drawn from Wukari's own coordinates (7.8714°N, 9.7779°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Wukari's prayer times are worked out

From Wukari, the Qibla is 62° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 3,556 km (2,210 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Wukari's own coordinates (7.87°N, 9.78°E), not a national average. That is why Wukari's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

Wukari sits just 7.87°N of the equator. Its prayer calendar barely shifts across the year. With the Muslim World League method, the longest daily fast is about 13h 52m. The shortest is about 12h 55m. That is a swing of only 0h 57m between June and December. Whenever Ramadan falls, fasting hours here stay much the same — something cities farther from the equator never see.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Wukari come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Gboko, Makurdi and Lafia. Each is only a few minutes off Wukari's clock.
