How Tando Allahyar's prayer times are worked out
From Tando Allahyar, the Qibla is 267° from true north. Face west to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 2,975 km (1,849 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Tando Allahyar's own coordinates (25.46°N, 68.72°E), not a national average. That is why Tando Allahyar's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.
One local quirk shapes the Tando Allahyar timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Tando Allahyar lies well west inside its Karachi time zone. So the sun peaks about 34 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:10 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 15h 14m near June down to 11h 55m in December.
The Fajr and Isha angles for Tando Allahyar come from the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi. The Karachi method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 18°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Mirpur Khas, Tando Adam and Tando Muhammad Khan. Each is only a few minutes off Tando Allahyar's clock.

Two Asr times are in use in Pakistan
Most Pakistani mosques follow the Hanafi reckoning of Asr. It begins when an object's shadow reaches twice its length, roughly 75 minutes later than the standard reckoning. The time shown above for Tando Allahyar is the standard reckoning — 3:24 PM. The Hanafi time today is 4:12 PM. Follow whichever your mosque announces; you can make Hanafi the default in the settings above.
Who sets prayer times in Pakistan
Pakistan has no single body that issues one national prayer timetable. Mosques and provincial Auqaf departments publish their own. What is standardised is the calculation. The University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (Fajr 18°, Isha 18°) is the de facto basis for timetables across the country. It is what this page uses. The state religious body is the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee rules on the moon sighting that begins Ramadan and Eid. It was established in 1974 and is assisted by Pakistan Meteorological Department observatories. So those dates are declared by sighting rather than by calendar.
Mosques and the Asr question
Pakistan's landmark mosques start with the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. It was completed in 1986 to a design by the Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay. It was the largest mosque in the world from 1986 until 1993, when Casablanca's Hassan II Mosque overtook it. Lahore's Badshahi Mosque was completed in 1673 under Aurangzeb; its courtyard can hold tens of thousands as an Idgah. Because Pakistan is overwhelmingly Hanafi, your local mosque almost certainly calls Asr on the second-shadow rule. This page shows the standard (Shafi) Asr by default, with the Hanafi Asr alongside it. Follow whichever your mosque announces. You can also switch the madhab in the settings above to make Hanafi the default.
