Prayer Times in Saint-Jérôme, Canada

Saint-Jérôme's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from Saint-Jérôme's own coordinates (45.7804°N, 74.0036°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Saint-Jérôme's prayer times are worked out

From Saint-Jérôme, the Qibla is 58° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 10,011 km (6,221 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Saint-Jérôme's own coordinates (45.78°N, 74.00°W), not a national average. That is why Saint-Jérôme's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Saint-Jérôme timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Saint-Jérôme lies well west inside its Toronto time zone. So the sun peaks about 64 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:41 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 45m near June down to 10h 11m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Saint-Jérôme come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, Terrebonne and Pierrefonds-Roxboro. Each is only a few minutes off Saint-Jérôme's clock.
