Rouissat's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Algeria. They are drawn from Rouissat's own coordinates (31.9243°N, 5.3502°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Rouissat's prayer times are worked out

From Rouissat, the Qibla is 100° from true north. Face east to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 3,601 km (2,238 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Rouissat's own coordinates (31.92°N, 5.35°E), not a national average. That is why Rouissat's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Rouissat timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Rouissat lies well west inside its Algiers time zone. So the sun peaks about 47 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:24 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 15h 55m near June down to 11h 32m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Rouissat come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Ouargla, Guerara and Touggourt. Each is only a few minutes off Rouissat's clock.
