Inezgane's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Morocco. They are drawn from Inezgane's own coordinates (30.3554°N, 9.5364°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.
How Inezgane's prayer times are worked out
From Inezgane, the Qibla is 89° from true north. Face east to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 4,998 km (3,106 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Inezgane's own coordinates (30.36°N, 9.54°W), not a national average. That is why Inezgane's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.
One local quirk shapes the Inezgane timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Inezgane lies well west inside its Casablanca time zone. So the sun peaks about 47 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 1:23 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 15h 44m near June down to 11h 37m in December.
The Fajr and Isha angles for Inezgane come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Dchira El Jihadia, Ait Melloul and Dakhla. Each is only a few minutes off Inezgane's clock.

Who sets prayer times in Morocco
Morocco's official prayer timetable is published by the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs in Rabat, which issues times for cities across the kingdom. The calculation commonly associated with Morocco uses a Fajr angle of 19° and an Isha angle of 17°. Moroccan religious life is built on a Maliki–Ash'ari framework. The Maliki school begins Asr at the first shadow, the same point as the Shafi'i reckoning. The later Hanafi Asr is therefore not the Moroccan norm.
From al-Qarawiyyin to the Hassan II Mosque
Morocco holds one of the oldest continuously functioning centres of learning anywhere: al-Qarawiyyin in Fez, founded between 857 and 859 by Fatima al-Fihri. Marrakesh's Koutoubia Mosque was founded in 1147, its minaret finished around 1195, and it became the model for minarets across the western Islamic world. The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca was inaugurated in 1993 and stands partly over the Atlantic. Its minaret rises 210 metres, the second tallest in the world, and is topped by a laser beam aimed toward Mecca.
