Halton Hills's times use the ISNA method. That is the standard used by most mosques in Canada and across the United States. They are drawn from Halton Hills's own coordinates (43.6403°N, 79.9315°W). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Halton Hills's prayer times are worked out

From Halton Hills, the Qibla is 54° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 10,533 km (6,545 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Halton Hills's own coordinates (43.64°N, 79.93°W), not a national average. That is why Halton Hills's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Halton Hills timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Halton Hills lies well west inside its Toronto time zone. So the sun peaks about 88 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 1:05 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 17m near June down to 10h 23m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Halton Hills come from the Islamic Society of North America. The ISNA method sets Fajr when the sun is 15° below the horizon, and Isha at 15°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Brampton, Milton and Mississauga. Each is only a few minutes off Halton Hills's clock.
