Prayer Times in Erzincan, Turkey
Prayer times in Erzincan are worked out each day from the city's coordinates (39.74°N). We use the Diyanet method, the one followed across Turkey. The five times shift by a minute or two each day as the sun moves. The full month is listed below.
Erzincan's times use the Diyanet method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Turkey. They are drawn from Erzincan's own coordinates (39.7392°N, 39.4901°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.
How Erzincan's prayer times are worked out
From Erzincan, the Qibla is 179° from true north. Face south to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 2,037 km (1,266 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Erzincan's own coordinates (39.74°N, 39.49°E), not a national average. That is why Erzincan's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.
One local quirk shapes the Erzincan timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Erzincan lies well west inside its Istanbul time zone. So the sun peaks about 31 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:07 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 02m near June down to 10h 59m in December.
The Fajr and Isha angles for Erzincan come from Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Türkiye's state religious authority. The Diyanet method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Akçapınar, Elazığ and Bingöl. Each is only a few minutes off Erzincan's clock.

Who sets prayer times in Turkey
Turkey is the rare country with one truly national timetable. The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı) publishes official prayer times for every province and district. Every mosque in the country calls the ezan by them. The Diyanet calculation uses Fajr at 18° and Isha at 17° below the horizon. Those are exactly the parameters this page applies to the city's own coordinates, so the times here track the official Turkish convention. Ramadan and Eid dates are announced centrally by the Diyanet too, so the whole country begins the fast on the same morning.
From the Blue Mosque to Süleymaniye
Turkey's skyline is inseparable from its mosques. Istanbul's Sultan Ahmed Mosque — the Blue Mosque, completed in 1616 with its six minarets — faces Hagia Sophia across the old hippodrome. Mimar Sinan's Süleymaniye (1557) crowns the third hill above the Golden Horn. Turkey spans some 19 degrees of longitude in a single time zone. So sunset in the east comes almost 80 minutes before the west: iftar in Kars is long finished while Izmir is still waiting. This page computes times for the city's own coordinates, so that east-west spread is already accounted for.
