Dosso's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Niger. They are drawn from Dosso's own coordinates (13.0490°N, 3.1937°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Dosso's prayer times are worked out

From Dosso, the Qibla is 71° from true north. Face east to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 3,990 km (2,479 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Dosso's own coordinates (13.05°N, 3.19°E), not a national average. That is why Dosso's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Dosso timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Dosso lies well west inside its Niamey time zone. So the sun peaks about 56 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:32 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 14h 13m near June down to 12h 38m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Dosso come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Dogondoutchi, Birnin Kebbi and Niamey. Each is only a few minutes off Dosso's clock.
