Birkhadem's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Algeria. They are drawn from Birkhadem's own coordinates (36.7150°N, 3.0500°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Birkhadem's prayer times are worked out

From Birkhadem, the Qibla is 105° from true north. Face east to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 3,926 km (2,439 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Birkhadem's own coordinates (36.72°N, 3.05°E), not a national average. That is why Birkhadem's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Birkhadem timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Birkhadem lies well west inside its Algiers time zone. So the sun peaks about 56 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:33 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 33m near June down to 11h 11m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Birkhadem come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Algiers, Baraki and Bab Ezzouar. Each is only a few minutes off Birkhadem's clock.
