Prayer Times in Baden-Baden, Germany
Prayer times in Baden-Baden are worked out each day from the city's coordinates (48.76°N). We use the Muslim World League method, the one followed across Germany. The five times shift by a minute or two each day as the sun moves. The full month is listed below.
Baden-Baden's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Germany. They are drawn from Baden-Baden's own coordinates (48.7606°N, 8.2398°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.
How Baden-Baden's prayer times are worked out
From Baden-Baden, the Qibla is 126° from true north. Face southeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 4,127 km (2,565 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Baden-Baden's own coordinates (48.76°N, 8.24°E), not a national average. That is why Baden-Baden's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.
One local quirk shapes the Baden-Baden timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Baden-Baden lies well west inside its Berlin time zone. So the sun peaks about 36 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 1:25 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 17h 17m near June down to 10h 12m in December.
The Fajr and Isha angles for Baden-Baden come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Karlsruhe, Pforzheim and Offenburg. Each is only a few minutes off Baden-Baden's clock.

Two Asr times are in use in Germany
Germany's largest Muslim community is Turkish-rooted and Hanafi, whose tradition recognises a later Asr — this page shows both times; check your own mosque's timetable. The time shown above for Baden-Baden is the standard reckoning — 4:58 PM. The Hanafi time today is 5:53 PM. Follow whichever your mosque announces; you can make Hanafi the default in the settings above.
Who sets prayer times in Germany
Germany has no single national timetable — several calculation traditions coexist. The largest network is DITIB, the Turkish-Islamic Union, seated at Cologne. It publishes times calculated by Turkey's Diyanet. Those twilight angles (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) are nominally the same as the Muslim World League method this page uses. The times here therefore sit within a few minutes of DITIB tables for most of the year. They diverge mainly in high summer, when persistent twilight forces German timetables to interpolate Fajr and Isha. Umbrella bodies such as the Zentralrat der Muslime and the Islamrat coordinate alongside DITIB. Germany's roughly 5.5 million Muslims (6.4-6.7% of the population, per the BAMF study) navigate between their conventions. Clocks follow the EU: forward the last Sunday of March, back the last Sunday of October.
Cologne's central mosque and the long summer fast
The Cologne Central Mosque is DITIB's flagship, inaugurated in 2018 with twin 55-metre minarets and a glass-and-concrete dome. It is among Germany's largest and most debated buildings. Berlin's Şehitlik Mosque was built between 1999 and 2005 in Ottoman Revival style, on the historic Turkish cemetery at Columbiadamm. Germany's latitude makes Ramadan demanding when it falls in summer. Fasts run seventeen to eighteen hours — among Europe's longest — and Isha comes close to midnight in June. Turkish-rooted communities dominate here, so the Hanafi Asr matters. This page shows both the standard and the later Hanafi time.

Baden-Baden Prayer Times — FAQ
What direction is Qibla from Baden-Baden?
The Qibla direction from Baden-Baden, Germany is 126° from true north. Face southeast toward Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which lies 4,127 km (2,565 miles) away.
How long is the fast in Baden-Baden?
The longest daily fast in Baden-Baden is about 17h 17m, around June. The shortest is about 10h 12m, in December. That is a swing of 7h 05m across the year, set by the city's latitude of 48.76°N. Both are measured from Fajr to Maghrib with the Muslim World League method.
Do these times match my DITIB mosque's timetable?
Closely, most of the year. DITIB publishes Diyanet-calculated times whose angles (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) match the Muslim World League method used here. But the official tables add small precaution margins. They also interpolate summer Fajr and Isha, because at German latitudes real twilight never ends. Treat your mosque's printed timetable as final, especially for beginning and breaking the fast.
