Aydın's times use the Diyanet method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Turkey. They are drawn from Aydın's own coordinates (37.8450°N, 27.8396°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Aydın's prayer times are worked out

From Aydın, the Qibla is 144° from true north. Face southeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 2,158 km (1,341 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Aydın's own coordinates (37.84°N, 27.84°E), not a national average. That is why Aydın's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Aydın timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Aydın lies well west inside its Istanbul time zone. So the sun peaks about 77 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:54 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 43m near June down to 11h 07m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Aydın come from Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Türkiye's state religious authority. The Diyanet method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Söke, Nazilli and Ödemiş. Each is only a few minutes off Aydın's clock.
