Arsuz's times use the Diyanet method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Turkey. They are drawn from Arsuz's own coordinates (36.4130°N, 35.8903°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Arsuz's prayer times are worked out

From Arsuz, the Qibla is 166° from true north. Face south to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 1,710 km (1,062 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Arsuz's own coordinates (36.41°N, 35.89°E), not a national average. That is why Arsuz's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Arsuz timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Arsuz lies well west inside its Istanbul time zone. So the sun peaks about 45 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:22 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 30m near June down to 11h 13m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Arsuz come from Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Türkiye's state religious authority. The Diyanet method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby İskenderun, Antakya and Samandağ. Each is only a few minutes off Arsuz's clock.
