Al Qadarif's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Sudan. They are drawn from Al Qadarif's own coordinates (14.0349°N, 35.3834°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Al Qadarif's prayer times are worked out

From Al Qadarif, the Qibla is 29° from true north. Face northeast to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 946 km (588 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Al Qadarif's own coordinates (14.03°N, 35.38°E), not a national average. That is why Al Qadarif's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Al Qadarif timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Al Qadarif lies well east inside its Khartoum time zone. So the sun peaks about 13 minutes before clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 11:24 AM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 14h 17m near June down to 12h 34m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Al Qadarif come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby New Halfa, Singa and Kassala. Each is only a few minutes off Al Qadarif's clock.
