Al Mayādīn's times use the Muslim World League method. That is the standard followed by most mosques in Syria. They are drawn from Al Mayādīn's own coordinates (35.0198°N, 40.4515°E). The schedule updates automatically at midnight, with no manual setting.

How Al Mayādīn's prayer times are worked out

From Al Mayādīn, the Qibla is 182° from true north. Face south to pray toward the Kaaba. It lies 1,513 km (940 miles) away in a straight line across the globe. Every time on this page is worked out from Al Mayādīn's own coordinates (35.02°N, 40.45°E), not a national average. That is why Al Mayādīn's times and its Qibla differ a little from cities a short distance away.

One local quirk shapes the Al Mayādīn timetable: midday prayer does not land at 12:00. Al Mayādīn lies well west inside its Damascus time zone. So the sun peaks about 27 minutes after clock noon. Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock — today it falls at 12:03 PM. Across the year, the fast here runs from about 16h 18m near June down to 11h 19m in December.

The Fajr and Isha angles for Al Mayādīn come from the Muslim World League. The Muslim World League method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon, and Isha at 17°. Use ISNA's 15° instead and Fajr here would move by several minutes. So the method — not the coordinates alone — settles the final time. We also publish times for nearby Deir ez-Zor, Ālbū Kamāl and Al Qā’im. Each is only a few minutes off Al Mayādīn's clock.
