How Abu Dhabi's prayer times are worked out
Abu Dhabi sits 1,527 km (949 miles) from the Kaaba in Mecca, so the Qibla from here is 260° from true north — you face west to pray. Fajr and Isha depend on how far the sun drops below the horizon, and United Arab Emirates follows the Dubai method set by the Dubai Awqaf authority: Fajr begins when the sun is 18.2° below the horizon, and Isha when it reaches 18.2°.
